Geodynamics Ltd has announced that Savina 1 was at 2911 m, on track to its planned depth of 4300 m. Under-balanced drilling was planned to commence 2–3 days following this announcement. Of greater excitement, though, GDY re-started its circulation test pump at Habanero on 28 November and successfully established closed loop circulation. A minor glitch required the pump to be again shut down due to overheating after just a few hours, but after replacing some parts the pump returned to action and circulation re-started shortly thereafter. |
