The Queensland Premier, Peter Beattie, announced a $50m fund for emerging technology aimed at reducing Queensland's greenhouse gas emissions.
Technologies mentioned explicitly are geothermal and solar thermal. He also announced that Queensland have set a target of 10% electricity to be generated from low emissions technology by 2020.
