The Greens Party came out aggressively supporting geothermal energy development in two states on Wednesday 6th June. Strongly worded statements from the Tasmanian and Queensland branches encouraged the development of geothermal resources over uranium or further coal-fired power plants. |

One article tipped that geothermal will be the first green energy solution ‘past the post’ and noted the importance of policies such as carbon trading and renewable energy targets. The financial pages plugged the shares of the ten ASX listed geothermal companies and quoted a supportive Federal Energy Minister. |
