Eden Energy quietly went into a trading halt on the ASX at its own request “pending the finalisation of a placement to raise additional working capital.” The halt was upgraded to a suspension on Wednesday 4th “pending the release of an announcement.” The announcement came on Friday 6th... “Placements to the value of between $12.5 million and $20 million...to various institutions and sophisticated investors in Australia and United Kingdom... The precise number of shares to be issued (and the amount to be raised) will be announced within the next 3 days.” It wasn’t quite. On Wednesday 11th, “the capital raising is now being finalised and the number of shares to be issued...is expected to be announced in the next 2 days.” The big announcement came on Wednesday 12th...$13.9382m of shares issued to institutions and sophisticated investors in the UK and Australia.
