South Australian Minister for Mineral Resources Development, Paul Holloway, announced that the SA Government is to give a grant of $250,000 to University of Adelaide as seed funding for the development of a research cluster dedicated to examining all aspects of enhanced geothermal systems.

According to the Minister, “The establishment of a Research Centre of Excellence in Geothermal Energy in South Australia is an important step in realising the commercialisation of geothermal energy in Australia.”
