HDRPL filed our very first provisional patent application on Monday 9nd. The application refers to an electronic divided bar apparatus for measuring thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity.

Unlike traditional divided bars that utilise constant temperature water baths and are constrained to laboratory environments, ours uses thermostatically controlled electronic peltier devices. The instrument is designed to be field portable and run off a 12V DC power source. More information and pictures of the prototype can be found here.
