The State Government of Victoria announced the Four Seasons Energy Pilot Program.

This $1m fund is specifically set up “to demonstrate alternative heating and cooling sources...where the region does not have a supply of natural gas.” This specifically means ground source heat pumps.

Financial support is available to anybody to offset the cost difference between installing conventional heating/cooling units and GSHPs (the announcement uses the term GeoExchange). Details can be found here.
