The 3HREC was followed on Friday 3 by an extremely well attended Australian Geothermal Energy Group (AGEG) meeting at the PIRSA offices in Adelaide. It was almost standing room only with 40+ delegates from almost as many companies and organisations. Special guests were present from NZ, the USA and the UK to give a truly global feel to our group. |

| In Reno Nevada (USA), the US Department of Energy announced up to US$78 million funding for twenty-one research, development and demonstration geothermal projects to promote Engineered Geothermal Systems. While none of this money will come directly to Australia, Australia will certainly benefit from the improved knowledge and technology that will flow from these projects. |
