The new leadership team of the Victorian Government reaffirmed its commitment to green power on Monday 6th. In particular, the Government is still “excited about the prospects of geothermal energy in Victoria.”

Victoria expects to offer a second round of Victorian exploration licences, beyond the 12 licences awarded in April, “within months.” According to Jim Driscoll from Vic DPI, "there is a process [underway] at the moment [to decide] on what to do with the remaining 19 [licences.]"
