An article by Matthew Warren in The Australian newspaper on Wednesday 8th forecast major changes in national renewable energy representation groups. According to Matthew, “[the] major strategic shake-out...will largely separate gas and wind power interests from proponents of solar and geothermal energy.” A group is predicted to emerge that will solicit greater government investment specifically in geothermal and large-scale solar. The Renewable Energy Generators Association’s Susan Jeanes is expected to play a major role in the new entity. The article also noted the existence of AGEG, “which is investigating whether to expand into a full-blown industry group that may emerge if REGA wraps up at the end of the year.”
