Graeme Beardsmore was informed that he has been elected to the Board of Directors of the International Geothermal Association. The 32-member IGA BoD represents over 3400 IGA members in 65 countries, including 24 affiliated national geothermal  associations around the world.

The inaugural meeting of the new Board is in Iceland in October, and his term in office runs from 2007–2010. This term will encompass the organization of the 2010 World Geothermal Congress on our doorstep in Bali.
