Torrens Energy let us all know that it will directly benefit from the Australian Government’s $59m Onshore Energy Security Program. The program includes seismic surveys to the value of $400,000 across TEY’s exploration licences. According to TEY, “Australian government initiatives will initially focus in on geothermal energy around key infrastructure areas, a strategy perfectly aligned with [TEY]’s objectives.” |

| AGEG, AGEA and NZGA (New Zealand Geothermal Association) have joined hands to submit an Expression of Interest to the International Geothermal Association to co-host the World Geothermal Congress in NZ and Australia in 2015. The 5-yearly WGC is the premier geothermal event in the world. The proposal is to hold short courses and field trips in the heart of the Taupo Volcanic Zone, the Conference in an east coast Australian city, then other field trips to Australia’s unique geothermal sites. |
