| On Thursday 11th, the first ever Australian representative on the Board of Directors of the International Geothermal Association (IGA) began a three year term, at the first meeting of the new Board in Iceland. It was bloody cold and wet and windy there, but it’s a fascinating place…a true “geothermal Disneyland” as one pundit described it. |

One article tipped that geothermal will be the first green energy solution ‘past the post’ and noted the importance of policies such as carbon trading and renewable energy targets. The financial pages plugged the shares of the ten ASX listed geothermal companies and quoted a supportive Federal Energy Minister. |
