Thursday 1st opened with an announcement from Petratherm Ltd regarding its relationship with a range of Chinese institutions. PTR has agreements for exclusive cooperation with four Chinese Government Institutions on geothermal projects over the next 12 months: China Geothermal Energy Society; Chinese Geological Survey; Chinese Academy of Sciences; and China Institute of Geo-Environment Monitoring. |

Geelong has potential to be a world leader in geothermal energy production In the Geeolong Advertiser, on the 3rd of June, a story read that Geelong could top an international list of cities on geothermal goldmines. Greenearth Energy has announced an independent consultant's report ranked the greater Melbourne area as the number one in the world for hot energy below its surface. Geothermal energy consultancy Hot Dry Rocks conducted the report, taking data from a 100km radius of 40 international cities that were part of the C40 climate change leadership group. |
