Geodynamics Ltd released a revise prognosis for the completion of Habanero #3. GDY now expects to complete the well in the second half of January 2008. To address lower than expected rates of penetration, GDY plans to trial a number of different bits and install a down hole motor to mitigate vibration. |

Queensland's First Geothermal Permit Granted The ABC rural Queensland news reported Queensland's first permit for geothermal energy exploration was issued on the 1st of June by the State Government to a New South Wales-based company. Managing director of "Granite Power" Stephen de Belle says it won the tender for its "Nagoorin" tenement near Gladstone about a year ago, but the permit means they can now start drilling.. |
