Allegiance Mining responded to Zinifex’s takeover bid on Tuesday 18th by advising all shareholders to take no action at present. The Allegiance Board is assessing the offer and will advise shareholders further during the coming weeks. The future of Geothermal Energy Tasmania may ride on the outcome of that assessment. |

Geelong has potential to be a world leader in geothermal energy production In the Geeolong Advertiser, on the 3rd of June, a story read that Geelong could top an international list of cities on geothermal goldmines. Greenearth Energy has announced an independent consultant's report ranked the greater Melbourne area as the number one in the world for hot energy below its surface. Geothermal energy consultancy Hot Dry Rocks conducted the report, taking data from a 100km radius of 40 international cities that were part of the C40 climate change leadership group. |
