The world’s first Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Geothermal Resources and Geothermal Reserves was officially launched at the AGEC on Thursday 21st. The Code is intended to regulate the public reporting of geothermal resources in Australia.

A committee (chaired by Adrian Williams) of the Australian Geothermal Energy Group has developed it with extensive stakeholder input from AGEA, the ASX, the JOR committee, the IGA and other groups. Jim Lawless of SKM/IGA/AGEG can claim a large portion of the credit for putting the Code together.
