In Reno Nevada (USA), the US Department of Energy announced up to US$78 million funding for twenty-one research, development and demonstration geothermal projects to promote Engineered Geothermal Systems. While none of this money will come directly to Australia, Australia will certainly benefit from the improved knowledge and technology that will flow from these projects.
