MIT report released to the public |

The much-anticipated MIT report on “The Future of Geothermal Energy—Impact of Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) on the United States in the 21st Century" was released to the public.
The report suggests that 100,000 MW of electrical generation capacity, or 10% of the US demand, can be met through EGS (I prefer the more traditional “hot dry rocks”) within 50 years with a modest investment in R&D.
