Preferred Tenderers for 36 Permits |

Western Australia’s Mines and Petroleum Minister, Norman Moore, announced the preferred tenderers for 36 geothermal permits in the Perth Basin.The preferred companies include Green Rock Energy, AAA Energy, Austral Ion, NewWorld Energy Solutions, Granite Power, Geothermal Power, Torrens Energy and Thermal Resources. More than $560 m of work commitments are associated with the licences. Also, the University of Western Australia has been identified as “the location of WA's first geothermal mine, which will exploit hot rocks beneath the city for power.”
