In the Cooper Basin, Geodynamics Ltd has announced the completion of flow testing at Habanero! 50,000 tonnes of brine has successfully made the return trip down Habanero 1 and up Habanero 3 (or is it the other way around?) Technical details have been despatched to various independent experts around the globe for validation and analysis. In anticipation, commissioning of the 1 MW demonstration power plant should be completed in March, with first power to be generated by the end of April. That news took the edge off the news that the remaining drill pipe stuck in Savina 1 has been abandoned and the well has been cemented off at 2640 m. A sidetrack is being planned to complete the well.
