Legislation was introduced into the South Australian Parliament on Thursday 7th December calling for 20% of the state’s electricity to be generated from renewable resources by 2014, and a 60% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions below 1990 levels by 2050.
Surely such ambitious targets can’t be entirely met by the wind industry!

Great news out of Paralana 2 on Wednesday Nov 4th 2009 Petratherm Ltd and JV partners Beach Petroleum and TRUenergy Geothermal announced that the “well encountered indications of permeable zones and the presence of geothermal fluids flowing into the well” at depths between 3690–3864 m. This bodes well for PTR’s plans to engineer a reservoir within the sedimentary sequence. Paralana 2 was at 3864 m and drilling ahead. |
