Hot Dry Rocks has provided technical, regulatory and policy advice to both state and national governments. Over the last five years, our core team has been instrumental in guiding almost every governmental agency in Australia responsible for their geothermal efforts. We have assisted in multiple regional assessments, preparation of tenement applications, and shaping state geothermal policy and legislation. Globally, our network of consultants has worked with U.S. and European governments to set policies, regulations and budgets, and also to define research programs.

  • The State of Victoria- Policy guidance on low temperature geothermal power projects
  • European Union’s EGS Program-  Micro seismicity Protocols
  • Western Australia – Basin scale resource mapping
  • The State of New South Wales - Assistance in preparing tenement applications
  • State of Queensland, Australia – Policy and regulatory framework development for the Geothermal Exploration Act
  • National Water Commission - Covering the Water/Geothermal Interface
