The Australian newspaper reported the Leader of the Federal Opposition, Kim Beazley, as saying “I also committed a Beazley Labor government to focusing Australian research on developing renewable energy such as solar, wind and geothermal energy—and commercialising them.” 

Unfortunately, right at this moment it seems very unlikely we will ever see a Beazley Labor government.

Geodynamics Ltd has announced the commencement of its fifth hole in the Cooper Basin. Savina-1 began on Saturday 18th and has grown to a 564 m depth and 24” diameter. Target depth is 4300 m. Meanwhile, construction work is progressing on the turbine hall for the 1 MW demonstration power plant that will provide Innaminka with free electricity. At Habanero GDY is continuing to work with Schlumberger to get the circulation pump back on site and operating.
