Hot Dry Rocks launch new website PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 20 May 2007
On Monday 21st, Hot Dry Rocks’ new website (www.hotdryrocks.com) quietly went live to the world. If you haven’t yet paid a visit, please do. We are pretty happy with it. You’ll find current Australian geothermal news (including all these, and past, stories); live news feeds from around the geothermal world; an interactive tenement map (under development); pretty geothermal pictures from my holidays…something for everyone! We had some teething problems with the new site (we couldn’t view it from our own office for a couple of days, even though other people could see it), but hopefully it’s all working smoothly by the time you read this.

Apparently KUTh Energy also launched a new website around the same time, so if you want to know what they’re up to take a look at(www.kuthenergy.com).

On the very same day we welcomed two new consultants to the Hot Dry Rocks family. Gareth Cooper and Denis Walsh bring extensive experience from the petroleum and minerals sectors, respectively.

Newsflash

AGEG, AGEA and NZGA (New Zealand Geothermal Association) have joined hands to submit an Expression of Interest to the International Geothermal Association to co-host the World Geothermal Congress in NZ and Australia in 2015. The 5-yearly WGC is the premier geothermal event in the world. The proposal is to hold short courses and field trips in the heart of the Taupo Volcanic Zone, the Conference in an east coast Australian city, then other field trips to Australia’s unique geothermal sites.
